ASTRA-ZENECA SCNP Young Scientist Symposium

A challenging competition for an oral presentation in Young Scientists Symposium is an attractive part of the Scientific Programme.

Only Members of the SCNP can participate in this competition. Young Researchers who are not members of the SCNP must forward an application for membership

Abstracts submitted by young scientists (< 40/45 years of age, see above) who wish to compete for participation in the Symposium should be clearly marked 'Young Scientist' and should indicate the date of birth. Abstracts must be submitted no later than February 15th 2012.

Of the abstracts received, six abstracts will be selected by the board of the SCNP for oral presentation in the ASTRA-ZENECA SCNP Young Scientists Symposium. Each of the six young scientists will get their registration fee and hotel accommodation refunded (Hotel Cab-Inn). The best presentation will be awarded with the ASTRA-ZENECA SCNP Young Scientist Award of EUR 3000 (for use in research) and the winner of the award will as well get his/her travel costs refunded as well.

ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology

The ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology, established in 2009, is directed to the question:

How do we ensure that clinical neuropsychopharmacology will be practised to a high standard in 20 years time?

The aim of the ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology is to encourage excellence in clinical neuropsychopharmacology of psychiatrists within 5 years of receiving their defining qualification, who are likely to become the key leaders in individual countries. The candidates will receive high level training in neuropsychopharmacology from a faculty of international experts and will be involved in the development of local good practice in teaching and training.

Participants interested in participating in the ECNP School of Neuropsycho-pharmacology, should notify this on the abstract form. The participants will be selected on a competitive basis.
